Lead Paint Testing in Southwest Florida

Lead-based paint was banned in 1978, but it's still present in homes built before then — and it's a real hazard, especially for young children and during renovations that disturb old paint. If you're buying or working on an older property, testing tells you whether it's there.

When it matters

Any home built before 1978 is a candidate. It matters most if you have small children, if you're planning to renovate (sanding or demolition can release lead dust), or if you simply want to know before you move in. While most Southwest Florida homes are newer, the region's older neighborhoods do have pre-1978 housing where testing is worth doing.

How it works

We test painted surfaces and give you clear results on whether lead-based paint is present and where, so you can plan repairs, renovations, or precautions accordingly.
